President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is in Bali. He departed to the province from the Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta with First Lady Iriana last night. The presidential aircraft landed at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 8:45 p.m. local time. The Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster, who is also a PDIP politician, welcomed Jokowi together with the Commander of the Udayana IX Regional Military Command (Pangdam IX/Udayana) Maj. Gen. Benny Susianto, and the Chief of the Bali Police Insp. Gen. Petrus Reinhard Golose.
Prabowo’s Latest Move
The losing presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto, through a video, sent a message to his supporters ahead of the trial of post-presidential election dispute in the Constitutional Court (MK). In the said video, the retired three-star Army general told his supporters not to come to the court to stage a rally learning from the riots that broke on May 21-22. This is a good move, but is it enough to control his supporters?
