Coordinating ministry of the economics has published power point presentation about the so-called September 2015 Economic Package few hours ago. The presentation provides details of policies being drafted and expected timeline. We hereby summarise some of them for you.
The Joint Decree on the Distribution of Village Funds
The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tjahjo Kumolo, the Minister of Village-Rural Development and Transmigration (Mendesa-PDTT) Marwan Jafar, and the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Bambang Brodjonegoro has signed the Joint Decree (SKB) to accelerate the disbursement of village funds. The SKB was formed on the instructions of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo after the President learned that out of the 74,093 villages listed in the program, only 18,000 villages had received the village funds allocated for 2015.
Bank Artha Graha and Its Problems
Bank Artha Graha is reportedly in trouble with some of its customers. After filing a lawsuit against its business partner on suspicion of breach of contract in mid-2014, this time Bank Artha Graha sued two of its customers regarding non-performing loans. The customers are Lina Rawung, who acts as a guarantor of debt of PT Mega Lestari Unggul, and PT Mega Lestari Unggul.

Infrastructure Updates & Construction Shares
President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has on September 2nd, 2015 signed Regulation No 98/2015 about Acceleration of Integrated Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi. The regulation allows utilisation of existing toll road and public roads for LRT routes. It also assigns state-owned construction firm PT Adhi Karya (ADHI) Tbk to develop the project.
The Future of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission
The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) have recently held a public test on the improvement of the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS). The announcement of the new draft of P3SPS was warmly welcomed by various groups of stakeholders, because the 2015 P3SPS draft is considered to have a better direction than the 2012 P3SPS. With their move to revamp said Code of Conduct, it seems that the KPI is ready to be more involved in the discussion on the bill on Broadcasting which is currently on-going in the House of Representatives (DPR).
Regulations on the Utilization of Water Resources
The Government is rushing to fill the legal vacuum that came as a result of the Constitutional Court’s revocation of Law No. 7/2004 on Water Resources and all its derivatives rules. In early September 2015, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen-PUPR) is said to have reported the development of a bill to replace Law 7/2004 to the House of Representatives (DPR). The Government is also preparing to publish two Government Regulations (PP) regarding the implementation of water resources.
Pelindo II Crane Procurement Case: Enter the Politics
Members of the House Commission III from PDI-P decried the decision of the Chief of the National Police (Polri) to replace Polri’s Criminal Investigation Chief Budi Waseso with the new Chief Anang Iskandar. Vice Chairman of the House Commission III from PDI-P Trimedya Pandjaitan told the press that he and his colleagues plan to summon Polri Chief General Badrodin to question the replacement. But beyond that, the House Commission III is also mulling the plan to form a special committee (Pansus) to aid Bareskrim Polri in investigating the Pelindo II crane procurement case.
