Indonesia’s consumer confidence inched up to 123.8 in December 2023 from 123.6 in the previous month. Two out of six main sub-indices improved, namely households’ assessment regarding the country’s current economic conditions (up by 0.6 points to 113.6) and income expectations for the next six months (up 1.7 to 139.7). Meanwhile, sub-indices declined for job availability (by 1.5 points to 129.9), as did the job availability compared to six months ago (by 0.5 to 112.7), households’ assessment regarding income expectations for current income (down 0.4 points to 115.2), and economic outlook were lower (by 0.3 to 133.9).
