Shares in Asia climbed on Wednesday after Tuesday’s bounce on Wall Street, amid upbeat US earnings reports and easing bets for a bigger rate hike. Stocks in Hong Kong rebounded and those in China hit its highest in over a week, as Beijing indicated a shift toward more targeted COVID-19 control measures. The Nikkei traded at a near 6-week high, on tech stocks; and the ASX was at near 1-month peak, with all sectors moving higher.
