Global stock markets extended gains on Tuesday (July 13), tracking gains on Wall Street overnight. United States (US) stocks eased from recent peaks Tuesday as investors digested a larger-than-expected increase in US consumer prices and earnings from JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs. The headline inflation jumped in June to the highest level since 2008 due to rising prices of used cars and a rebound in costs of travel-related services.
