Major stock markets in Asia traded sharply higher to start the week, buoyed by a record performance on Wall Street Friday, ahead of Q2 earnings reports that kick off this week. The Nikkei 225 led the gains, climbing 2.3% after data showed Japan’s core machinery orders rose for the third month running. Stocks in China and Hong Kong gained 0.7% each following the PBoC’s decision to cut the RRR for lenders. The ASX 200 closed 0.8% higher.
