The ministry of transportation included a plan to develop smart transportation system for a new capital in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan in the Work Plan and Budget of 2021. It is estimated that the total development cost of land connectivity reaches Rp9.6 trillion for the development of land public transportation.
So far, there are no clear decision from the government, whether to continues to move the capital city from Jakarta to East Kalimantan. Early of this year, President Joko Widodo targets to finalize the revision in law this month.
