Imports to Indonesia increased 12.66% from the previous year to US$11.26 billion in June 2018, easing from an upwardly revised 28.25% jump in the previous month. Purchases of non-oil and gas rose 8.95% to US$9.14 billion while those of oil and gas jumped by 32.09% to US$2.11 billion. Compared to the previous month, inbound shipments tumbled 36.27%.

Indonesia recorded a trade surplus of US$1.70 billion in June of 2018 from a US$1.67 billion surplus a year earlier. It is the first trade surplus since March, mainly due to a slowdown in imports.
