President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo knows that the year 2018, a year before the 2019 simultaneous general election, is going to be intense with politicking. But beyond that, in the year 2018, Indonesia will also be the host of the XVIII Asian Games. It’s a high profile event, and it’s importance is greatly amplified by the fact that coincides with a campaign year. President Jokowi must already be aware of this. That Indonesian perform well is going to be important, but equally as important is that the facilities needed are constructed ahead of schedule.
