State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) plans to raise Rp10 trillion fund through issuing collective investment contract of asset-based security (KIK-EBA). The issuance will start in August this year. PLN is said to issue this investment instruments for five years period with the receivables of PLN’s subsidiary, PT Indonesia Power Unit Bisnis Pembangkitan (UBP) Suralaya becoming the underlying asset for this investment. PLN needs funds of RP100 trillion for funding its power infrastructure project this year. PLN has issued global bonds worth US$2 billion and plans to again issue global bonds next year. It also has bond issue program for Rp10 trillion value.
