PT Indo Modern Mining Sejahtera (IMMS) has been brought up in several news reports in connection with the murder of Salim Kancil, a farmer in Lumajang, East Java. The latter was one of many residents of the village of Selok Awar Awar, who were against mining and exploration activities conducted in their village.
