The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has returned from it’s periodical recess. As usual, the DPR started the first day of their new session with a general assembly (GA) meeting. Two hundred and eighty two DPR members attended the GA, with the other half of the 560 members in God knows where. One of the agenda items in the meeting was the Speaker of the DPR announcing the President’s nomination of Commissioner General Budi Gunawan for Chief of the National Police.
