The Government of the Special Administrative Region Jakarta (PEMPROV DKI) have been struggling to improve upon the Capital City’s dilapidated infrastructure. Progress can be seen in some respects—repaving of streets and avenues are notably faster, floods drain quicker, and the development of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit system is well under way.
