Emron Pangkapi’s ties with the United Development Party (PPP) was formed during the period of his career as a journalist at Harian Pelita from 1979 to 1982. And as you may know, Harian Pelita was an official newspaper of the PPP. Soeharto’s New Order regime closed the newspaper down after the 1982 election.
