Yul Mahendri is a farmer from Payakumbuh, West Sumatera. She is a poor farmer who could only save 2,000 to 5,000 rupiah per day for her children’s education. And so she never dared to open an account in a bank to save her money. She’s worried she would be ridiculed for having so little. But Yul is not alone. There are others who share her dread of banks.
