Politics is alive and well at the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR). The newly elected 560 lawmakers have not yet been sworn in, but some of them are already busy politicking in response to the recently-revised Legislative Institution Law (also called the MD3 Law). The revised MD3 Law opened the leadership of DPR to yet another election mechanism. Now that the DPR leadership is open to contestation, let’s look at the competitors.
