Dian Sumeler Ciputra, wife of the late property guru Ciputra, has passed away on December 22, 2021 at 89 years old. Dian, co-founder of Ciputra Group and president commissioner of Ciputra Development (CTRA), one of the largest property developers in the country, leaves behind Ciputra Group fully to the second and third generation.

Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), the trading arm of Toyota Group, has expanded its investments in Indonesia. TTC has joined CT Corporation, a company controlled by Chairul Tanjung, as the new car terminal operator at the Patimban international port, West Java province.

Businessman Hiskak Secakusuma, co-founder of Metropolitan Group, one of the largest property groups in Indonesia, has passed away on Friday, October 15 at 84 years old. The group’s flagship company is the IDX-listed PT Metropolitan Land Tbk, a company with total assets and equity of Rp6.03 trillion and Rp4.1 trillion respectively by June 30, 2021.

Zifivax, an mRNA-based Covid-19 vaccine developed by Anhui Zhifei Longcom Pharmaceutical (China), has just secured Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from Indonesian Food and Drug Administration (BPOM). Like China Sinovac, which is locally produced by state vaccine producer Biofarma, Anhui has been working with private companies in Indonesia to produce Zifivax locally.
