Prabowo Continues with A Rely-on-Jokowi Strategy

Prabowo Subianto continues with his strategy of relying on the success of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s administration. Most recently, Prabowo announced his decision on renaming the big coalition that supports him into the so-called Koalisi Indonesia Maju, which is similar to the name of Jokowi’s coalition back in the 2019 presidential election and the President’s current cabinet.

OSO Joins Ganjar Camp

Hanura, a political party led by businessman-cum-politician Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), has officially joined forces with the ruling party PDIP in endorsing Ganjar Pranowo for the next year’s presidential election. Hanura and PDIP have signed a coalition agreement on Monday (Aug 28), a week after Oesman met with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo during the President’s working visit in Medan (North Sumatera).

Latest Rumor on Sandiaga-AHY Pairing

It has recently been rumored that Minister Sandiaga Uno might be paired with Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the eldest son of the sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), in the next year’s presidential election. Let’s talk a bit about this rumor.

Litbang Kompas, the research division of the largest newspaper in Indonesia, recently released the results of its latest electability survey on political parties that will compete in the next year’s legislative election. According to Litbang Kompas, PDIP and Gerindra lead the poll far above the other political parties. How about Perindo, a political party led by media mogul Hary Tanoesoedibjo?

Ganjar vs Prabowo (2)

Another survey from the Saiful Mujani Research & Consulting (SMRC) pointed to Ganjar Pranowo leading the poll ahead of Prabowo Subianto, and Anies Baswedan. In a head-to-head simulation, however, SMRC found Prabowo can defeat both Ganjar and Anies. Pretty much similar to results of survey from Litbang Kompas, a research division of Kompas, the largest newspaper in the country.

The Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Boeing, US aircraft manufacturer, for the commitment to finalize the purchase of 24 F-15EX fighter jets and its related equipment.
