President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to attend the opening of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the ruling party PDIP today (Sep. 29). The President’s presence is truly worth highlighting amid speculations about his relationship with PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. The PDIP’s Rakernas itself will be interesting to watch because Megawati might announce the running mate of Ganjar Pranowo for the 2024 presidential election in the event.

Police Job Rotation

The Chief of the National Police (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo instituted another job rotation on Tuesday (Sep. 26). The rotation only affected 60 middle-ranking and high-ranking police officers. BRIN’s Criticism to Jokowi

Some political observers from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) recently criticized President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in regard to the President’s statement on intelligence data about political parties and 2024 race. The question is whether the criticism is genuine or not. Some even speculate that the criticism from BRIN’s observers might be a sign of soured relationship between the President and PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri, who is the chief adviser of BRIN. Is it true?
