PDIP: 2024 Regional Elections
Another recommendation from the PDIP’s National Working Meeting (Rakernas) ended on Sunday (May 26) that is worth highlighting is about the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. In regard to that, PDIP has formed its election victory team for the 2024 regional elections. Let’s talk a bit about this new team.
PDIP: No Decision Yet
There’s no firm decision yet from the matriarch of PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, on whether PDIP will join the next administration of Prabowo-Gibran or stay outside of the administration. The decision will be taken in the upcoming PDIP’s chairmanship congress scheduled to be held next year.

More new names from political parties have been mentioned as potential minister candidates for Prabowo-Gibran’s cabinet. Two of them are Sugiono (Gerindra) and Yandri Susanto (PAN). Let’s talk a bit about these new names.
PDIP: Opposition or No? (3)
Today, May. 24, PDIP is holding its National Working Meeting (Rakernas), in which its matriarch Megawati Soekarnoputri will make a decision on whether PDIP will become the opposition party or join Prabowo-Gibran’s administration instead. Unsurprisingly, the outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is not invited to the event.

Prabowo-Gibran’s Cabinet: Nasdem & PKB?
Pretty much as predicted, political parties within Prabowo-Gibran’s coalition are fighting for power sharing in the next cabinet. PAN, for example, stated that the Party does not want a new member of the coalition to get three portfolios in the cabinet. Nasdem and PKB, as we all know, joined the coalition after the Constitutional Court (MK) confirmed the victory of Prabowo-Gibran in 2024 race.

More pictures came out from Elon Musk from the sidelines of World Water Forum in Bali Island. Anindya Bakrie from Bakrie Group posted some pictures of him accompanying president elect Prabowo Subianto in a dinner on Sunday (May 19). Anin, whose group is handling BYD electric bus in Indonesia, was sitting right next to Rosan P Roeslani, chairman of Prabowo-Gibran’s campaign team.
Jakarta’s 2024 Gubernatorial Election (6)
The former Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, who lost to Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election, stated on Monday (May 20) that he is now seriously considering to enter the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election for his second term. Meanwhile, Prabowo’s nephew and niece, Gerardus Budisatrio Djiwandono and Rahayu Saraswati Dhirakanya Djojohadikusumo, have been mentioned as potential candidates from Gerindra Party for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
