Will Megawati Surprise Everyone Again?
We all see more and more signals from the key leaders of PDIP, including Puan Maharani, that the Party might join Prabowo Subianto’s administration. Despite of the obvious signals, however, we cannot discount the possibility that Megawati Soekarnoputri, the matriarch of PDIP, might surprise everybody with her final say. Megawati did it before, and she might do it again.

Police Comr. Gen. Nico Afinta, former provincial police chief (Kapolda) of East Java, has been sworn in as the new Secretary General of the Law & Human Rights Ministry, a ministry currently led by Supratman Andi Agtas, a key leader of Prabowo Subianto’s Gerindra Party. Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, who is also the Chairman of Golkar Party, took the oath of Tri Winarno as the new Director General for Mineral and Coal (Minerba).
PDIP & the Next Cabinet
There are more and more signals that PDIP might join Prabowo Subianto’s administration instead of becoming opposition alone. Given these signals, some started to speculate on who might be proposed by PDIP for becoming ministers in Prabowo’s cabinet. Megawati Soekarnoputri, matriarch of the party, might surprise everybody with her final say though.
Muhammadiyah & the Next Cabinet
Another interesting news regarding Prabowo-Gibran’s cabinet came from Muhammadiyah, the second largest Islamic organization in Indonesia. Muhammadiyah claimed that they will likely get one minister and two vice minister positions in the next cabinet.

The Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Defense are known as the triumvirate in the cabinet. Three trusted and closest aides to President-elect Prabowo Subianto have been tipped for becoming the triumvirate in the next administration. Who are they?

Some pollsters have released their survey results, respectively, regarding this year’s gubernatorial elections in some major provinces. Among the major provinces, it seems that the tightest battle is in Central Java, the third most populous province in Indonesia.
1991 Class & Police Job Rotation
General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of the National Police (Kapolri), instituted another major job rotation that affected 310 high-ranking and middle-ranking police officers. Among them are former classmates of General Sigit at the Police Academy (Akpol) of 1991 class who are promoted as provincial police chiefs. Police, by far, is widely considered the strongest ‘political organization’ in the country.
Prabowo-Gibran’s Cabinet: Power Sharing
Everyone knows that President-elect Prabowo Subianto loves number eight. He is known as 08 in his inner circle and he will soon be sworn in as the eighth President. So, when Bambang Soesatyo a.k.a Bamsoet, a senior Golkar politician and the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), said he heard a rumor that the number of ministries under Prabowo’s administration will be 44, don’t ask where Prabowo got the number.
SBY’s Meeting with Prabowo
The sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who is also the supreme leader of Democratic Party, met with President-elect Prabowo Subianto, who is also the chairman of Gerindra Party, at the latter’s private residence in Kertanegara, South Jakarta on Thursday (Sep. 19). The meeting is truly worth highlighting in relation to power sharing in the next administration.

The House of Representatives (DPR) have just deliberated two important laws about ministries and the president’s advisory council, which basically gives the president a ‘flexibility’ to accommodate as many allies as possible in getting a piece of the power.
