Central Sulawesi Gubernatorial Election

The Golkar Party reportedly established a coalition with Perindo, a political party led by media mogul Hary Tanoesoedibjo, to endorse a governor and vice governor candidates in the Central Sulawesi gubernatorial election this year. The other political parties, meanwhile, are still scrambling to select candidates and to explore a coalition with each other. The gubernatorial election in this resource-rich province of Central Sulawesi, as we all know, is interesting to watch because the election will be an open race and the province is the home to Vale Indonesia (current name of INCO), the largest nickel producer in the country.
