Pretty much as predicted, the sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) met with the former Vice President Jusuf Kalla on Thursday (June 23). The meeting is worth highlighting in light of the 2024 race. The possibility of SBY and Kalla regrouping for 2024 race has been a subject of speculation for a while. Not to mention that on the same day SBY’s eldest son, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), met with the Chairman of Nasdem Party Surya Paloh for the third time in the last three months.

The Chairperson of the ruling party PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri, in her speech in the closing of the PDIP’s National Working Meeting (Rakernas), recalled her decision to nominate Joko “Jokowi” Widodo as presidential candidate in 2014.
