In a stark contrast, SMRC found that the electability of Puan Maharani, daughter of Megawati Soekarnoputri, remains insignificant. Both Ganjar and Puan are politicians from the ruling party PDIP.

The General Election Commission (KPU) has closed the registration of political parties seeking to participate in the 2024 legislative election. Out of 40 political parties registered at the KPU, 24 parties passed the first verification and thus will undergo the administrative and factual verifications. The other 16 parties were eliminated due to lack of dossiers, and failed to enter the 2024 election.
