President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo praises Heru Budi Hartono, the acting governor of Jakarta, for completing the acquisition of lands for the development of a waterway tunnel that will connect the Ciliwung river with the Eastern Flood Canal (BKT), known as the Sodetan Ciliwung or Ciliwung waterway tunnel. The said waterway tunnel is one of the city’s projects to address floods problem in the city, but Heru’s predecessor, Anies Baswedan, did nothing for the project.
