Ganjar Pranowo and Erick Thohir got the endorsement to run together in 2024 race from Zulkifli Hasan, the chairman of PAN, during the Party’s National Working Meeting (Rakornas), which was also attended by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. The endorsement is worth highlighting in light of the approaching 2024 race.

The Governor of the respected National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas), Andi Widjajanto, recently made an interesting statement about the current Military Commander (Panglima TNI) Admiral Yudo Margono and the current Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman. Andi said that both Admiral Yudo and General Dudung will retire in November 2023, a situation which Andi considered as non-ideal because it will be too close to the 2024 election campaign. The question is whether both Yudo and Dudung will retire earlier than their initial schedule.

The research and development department (Litbang) of Kompas, the largest newspaper in the country, released the results of its head-to-head simulation in which they found that Ganjar Pranowo could defeat either Prabowo Subianto or Anies Baswedan in a two-horse race scenario. However, the running mate could be a game changer because he/she will affect the presidential candidate to get more or less votes.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo attended the Muktamar (chairmanship congress) of the Pemuda Muhammadiyah, in which he gave an opening speech. Media mogul Surya Paloh, who is the chairman of Nasdem Party, met with the Chairman of Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who is also the eldest son of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). Nasdem and Democratic Party are endorsing Anies Baswedan for the 2024 presidential race along with PKS. The question now is: Who will become Anies’ running mate?

The normalization of Ciliwung river is one of strategic projects to solve floods problem in Jakarta, one of stressing issues in the city.

Rusdi and his entourage were supposed to fly to Batang Merangin, Kerinci to attend the inauguration of the new hydro power plant in the regency developed by a subsidiary of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK), a company controlled by the family of Jusuf Kalla.
