Airlangga Hartarto, the chairman of Golkar Party, is one of the busiest men in Indonesian politics right now. He has been busy holding a meeting here and there with many influential figures ever since the ruling party PDIP nominated Ganjar Pranowo as presidential candidate and the Islamic party PPP joined forces to endorse the Governor. Recently, Airlangga met with former Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who is also former Golkar chairman, on Thursday (May 4) evening.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo put out a statement during his visit to Tanah Abang market and Sarinah shopping mall in Central Jakarta on Thursday (May 4). The statement is worth highlighting because the President addressed some important issues related to the 2024 race, including the absence of media mogul Surya Paloh from the recent meeting of the ruling coalition at the State Palace Jakarta.
