The President is also scheduled to swear in four new vice ministers and one new member of the Presidential’s Advisory Council (Wantimpres). Unfortunately, there’s no official press release from the State Palace on who will get which position.

On Megawati’s State of Relationship with Prabowo
Both PDIP and Gerindra Party denied a speculation that the relationship of Megawati Soekarnoputri and Prabowo Subianto is breaking apart. They ensured that Megawati’s relationship with Prabowo is fine even though the two figures have not had the chance to discuss the next year’s presidential election.
Early Campaign
The three presidential hopefuls attended the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesia City Administrations Association (Apeksi) on Thursday (July 13) held in Makassar, South Sulawesi. In the event, they were given the opportunity to make a speech in front of the city mayors about their programs should they win the next year’s presidential election. It looks like the 2o24 race starts too soon.
Waiting Game Continues
Pretty much as predicted, Anies Baswedan won’t announce his running mate for the next year’s presidential election this weekend during an event hold at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium that is organized by Nasdem, a political party led by media mogul Surya Paloh. It is likely that Anies’ camp will first wait for the announcement from the ruling party PDIP on who will become Ganjar Pranowo’s running mate.
The Next Luhut (2)
We’ve talked about some figures who have the potential to become the new super-minister in the next administration just like Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan under the administration of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. Now, let’s talk about another potential figure that could play Luhut’s role in the next administration.
The Running Mate Race
The running mate might be a determinant factor in the next year’s presidential election with various polls pointing to a tight race between Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, it is important to highlight the survey results on the potential vice presidential candidates and to monitor the maneuver from these potential candidates. In that regard, it is interesting to see that Erick Thohir and Ridwan Kamil were accompanying President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo during the President’s working visit in West Java on Wednesday (July 11).
Polls: Ganjar vs Prabowo
Two pollsters, LSI and LSI Denny JA, released the results of their respective electability survey in which both of them found Prabowo Subianto leading the poll with a razor-thin margin above Ganjar Pranowo. Anies Baswedan, on the other hand, was left behind with a significant margin.
