A new judicial review (JR) request on the Election Law (UU Pemilu) No. 7/2017 has been filed at the Constitutional Court (MK), which many believe as an attempt to stop Prabowo Subianto from entering the next year’s presidential election. Let’s talk a bit about this maneuver.

The Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Boeing, US aircraft manufacturer, for the commitment to finalize the purchase of 24 F-15EX fighter jets and its related equipment. This time, let’s talk about lawmaker candidates from the other party that are worth highlighting. One of them is former Chief of the National Police’s Investigation Division (Kabareskrim) Police Comr. Gen. (ret) Susno Duadji, who will compete in the 2024 legislative election as a lawmaker candidate from PKB, an Islamic party strongly affiliated to the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

Unlike the other pollsters, Litbang Kompas, the research division of the largest newspaper in Indonesia, found Ganjar Pranowo leading the poll with a razor-thin margin above Prabowo Subianto. In a head-to-head simulation, however, Ganjar lost to Prabowo with more than five-percent margin.
