Contractual Issues on Mahakam Block

The government has missed its own target to immediately make decision about the giant offshore oil and gas Mahakam Block in East Kalimantan after the contract with Total (France) and Japan (Inpex) expires in 2017. State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, slated to become majority holder of interest in the block, meanwhile, has yet to find its way into the block.
