The polling agency Indostrategic found the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, who is also the chairman of Gerindra Party, leading the poll and the Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan trailing behind with only a razor-thin margin. The agency also found that if Anies were paired up with the Chairman of Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who is also the eldest son of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the pair could surpass the electability of the Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani pairing.
