President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo continues to push for an accelerated vaccination timetable. The new target is 5 million doses of vaccines administered per day. Minister of Health Budi Gunawan Sadikin relayed the President’s directive in a press briefing yesterday. It’s an ambitious target given that the Government has not consistently reached its current 1 million inoculations per day target. Jokowi’s ambitious target will also depend on the supply of vaccines, and the Government’s ability to organize large-scale vaccinations across the country.
