In late August, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo asked Indonesian e-commerce players to create applications that can support the work of Indonesian farmers and fishermen, like weather application or GPS to locate fish. The President also hoped that there would one day be an application that could link the consumers directly to the farmers/fishermen.
