Indonesia’s competitiveness ranking was recorded to have shot up seven places from last year to 27th position out of 64 countries in the world. IMD World Competitiveness Center (WCC) Director Arturo Bris said that apart from rising from 34th position in the previous year, Indonesia is in the top three after Singapore and Thailand in the Southeast Asia region. In this case, Indonesia replaced Malaysia, which in the previous year was ranked 27th. Bris said Indonesia’s competitiveness is boosted by improving economic performance, the ability to attract capital and GDP growth.
