Today, Sept 29, the Constitutional Court is scheduled to announce its verdict on a judicial review (JR) request against the presidential threshold set in the Election Law No. 7/2017 filed by the Islamic opposition party PKS. In a related development, a group of people called Sekretariat Bersama (Sekber) Prabowo-Jokowi or the Prabowo-Jokowi Joint Secretariat filed another JR request to the MK to challenge Law No. 7/2017. The group aims to endorse President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo as a running mate of Prabowo Subianto in 2024 race.
