The drama on the law enforcer’s efforts to punish the disgraced Supreme Court Justice, Gazalba Saleh, will end soon. After the Panel of Judges of the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court gave a surprising interlocutory decision, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) filed an appeal or in this case known as verzet or resistance. In June 2024, the Jakarta High Court granted said verzet. Gazalba Saleh faced his trial again soon after. Towards the end of last week, the prosecutors finally read their demands.
