PDIP ensured that the Party has agreed to form a coalition with Golkar for endorsing Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi in the Banten gubernatorial election this year. If the political constellation stays as it is, Airin-Ade will compete head-to-head in a two-horse race against Andra Soni-Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah. However,some people believe there could be the third axis that will make the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election into a three-horse race.
