Economic liquidity or money in circulation in a broad sense (M2) in April 2024 continued to grow. The M2 position in April 2024 was recorded at Rp8,928.0 trillion or grew by 6.9% year on year (y/y), slightly lower than the previous month of 7.2% y/y growth. The development of M2 in April 2024 was mainly influenced by developments in credit distribution and net claims to the Central Government. Credit distribution in April 2024 grew by 12.3% y/y, an increase compared to the previous month’s growth of 11.9% y/y.
