On Thursday (May 30), the Supreme Court (MA) has granted a judicial review request on the age limit of regional head candidate stipulated in Article 4 Paragraph 1 Letter d of the General Election Commission’s Regulation (PKPU) No. 9/2020. People are wondering whether the ruling is issued to pave the way for Kaesang Pangarep, the youngest son of the outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, to run in the 2024 regional election that will be held on Nov. 27.
