In the first week of September 2023, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or better known as Gus Muhaimin (formerly Cak Imin), chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), officially became the vice presidential candidate who will pair with the presidential candidate from the Koalisi Perubahan untuk Persatuan (KPP), Anies Baswedan. Simultaneously with this decision, news emerged regarding the progress of the investigation into the case of alleged corruption at the Ministry of Manpower which is being investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) at the Ministry of Finance recorded a total auction transaction value of Rp44.34 trillion throughout 2023. This achievement is the highest in the history of auctions implementation in Indonesia. Indirectly, this achievement was possible because of the cases handled by the Ministry of Finance and the recognition of DJKN by the public.
