Sandiaga Uno, a key leader of Gerindra Party, recently revealed to the press the political agreement between Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan back in 2016. Anies reportedly agreed not to run in the 2024 presidential race in exchange for Prabowo’s support in the Jakarta’s 2017 gubernatorial election. Anies’ side, however, denied there was such agreement.
