This week, the House of Representatives approved a Bill related to the New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Papua, Papua Barat Daya. The decision was taken after we know that the House of Representatives also agreed on three new provinces in Papua back in June 2022. This means, as of this week, there are four new provinces for Papua and Indonesia have 38 provinces. The Government now can prepare for the 2024 election.
