President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo held a meeting with the fifth President Megawati Soekarnoputri, who is also the chairperson of the ruling party PDIP, on Saturday (Oct 8). Some observers, especially those close to Anies Baswedan (expecting weaker opponent), speculated that the meeting was Megawati’s effort to persuade Jokowi to support her daughter, Puan Maharani. What if, however, Jokowi and Megawati agreed to nominate Ganjar Pranowo instead of Puan Maharani in the meeting? On the same day, interestingly, Ganjar was in his political safari in South Sulawesi. Meanwhile, Puan was also in her political safari meeting with Airlangga Hartarto, the chairman of Golkar Party.
