Coal miner Golden Energy Mines (GEMS), owned by Sinar Mas Group, booked profit attributable to owners of US$336 million in the first half (H1) of 2022, surged 135% year on year (y/y), as revenues jumped 82% y/y to US$1.33 billion. Gross profit also jumped 83% y/y to US$616 million, and operating profit surged 123% y/y to US$447 million.
