Java Star Rig v. Camar Resources

PT Java Star Rig (Java Star) and PT Atlantic Oilfield Services (PT AOS) have been declared bankrupt back in April 20, 2021 by the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court. This decision was predictable because the two companies have long been in dispute with one of their business partner. Even so, towards the end of last week, a new lawsuit was filed against both companies. The lawsuit mentioned that a peace agreement was promulgated in July 2022 and both companies were accused of failing to implement the peace agreement and a new lawsuit was filed to once again seek for the companies’ bankruptcy.

MIND ID, holding company for state mining companies, booked net profit of Rp13.1 trillion in the first half of 2022, skyrocketed from Rp4.7 trillion in the corresponding period last year, thanks to improved margins of almost all of key commodities aluminium, nickel, tin, coal and share of profits from PT Freeport Indonesia.

Minister of public works and housing Basuki Hadimuljono and Bali governor I Wayan Koster have late last week kicked off physical construction of the Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road (96.84 KM) in the resort island. Completion of the toll road will cut short travel time between Gilimanuk and Denpasar from 5-7 hours to 1.5-2 hours only.
