State spending for 2023 will decline 4% to Rp3,041.7 trillion, but mainly due to the very optimistic prediction that Covid-19 pandemic will go away. Budget for Covid-19 handling is set at zero against Rp188 trillion this year, which giving room for more aggressive financing of the new capital city Nusantara in East Kalimantan province.
