Revisiting Share Ownership Disputes in Blue Bird (1) 

PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD), its subsidiaries, and the parties around the companies have gone through a share ownership disputes since 2013. We recorded dozens of similar lawsuits filed at the South Jakarta District Court, this is of course not including the other lawsuits filed in other district court. The last time we report on the “development” was in 2018, at the time there were ongoing disputes but examinations continue far from media coverage and we haven’t heard further information since then. Despite the prolonged dispute, the parties apparently refused to give up. This year alone, there have been two different lawsuits filed to the South Jakarta District Court, the latest being filed by Elliana Wibowo, Surjo Wibowo’s daughter.

Anas Urbaningrum Return to Politics?

Ten political parties have registered themselves to the General Election Commission (KPU) to participate in the 2024 simultaneous presidential, legislative, and regional elections. One of them is the so-called Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN) or the Awakening Nusantara Party, a new political party led by I Gede Pasek Suardika. Pasek, who is known close to former Chairman of Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum, wishes Anas to join his political party once the latter is released from prison this year.

Anies-AHY Pairing?

Some predicted that Anies Baswedan and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) will likely run together in the 2024 presidential race with the backing from a coalition of Nasdem, Democratic Party, and PKS. This prediction was based on what they believed as a signal during the wedding of Anies’ daughter, in which AHY sat in the same table with the Chairman of Nasdem Party Surya Paloh and former Chairman of PKS Sohibul Iman.
