The World Bank (WB) on Monday (September 27) cut its projection for the Indonesian economy from 4.4% growth projected in April 2021 to 3.7% this year. The Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is a factor. Vaccination progress is crucial for the recovery of the Indonesian economy. WB predicts that the Indonesian economy will grow 5.2% in 2022 and 5.1% in 2023, supported by supportive macro policies, reform, and the job creation law (the Omnibus Law).
