Giant coal miner Bumi Resources (BUMI) booked a net profit of US$6.4 million in the first half (H1) of 2021, against a loss of US$85.39 million in the corresponding period of 2020, as gross profit jumped 150% year on year (y/y) to US$80 million, thanks to 16% cut in the cost of revenue, to US$342 million. Its revenue declined 4.1% y/y to US$422 million in H1 this year.
