Bank Central Asia (BBCA) booked a net profit of Rp14.45 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2021, grew 18.1% year on year (y/y), as operating expenses fell 12.1% to Rp14.2 trillion. While net interest income only rose 3.8% to Rp28.28 trillion. In the second quarter (Q2), BBCA booked a net profit of Rp7.4 trillion, growing 5.3% y/y. Compared to Q1 of 2021, it grew 5.7%. Net interest income increased 0.1% y/y to Rp14.14 trillion, but it was flat compared to the previous quarter.
